Description-Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is an ancient, guided meditation technique where you enter a deep state of relaxation, between sleeping and being awake. The goal is to enter a state where you simply let go of any unwanted tension in the body and reset and empower the mind. Laying on a mat throughout, the guided meditation will help you relax and let go. Any external or internal disturbances will only take you to deeper levels of relaxation. Bring an eye pillow if you have one, to keep light out and help with further relaxation. A cozy blanket and pillow are great to bring along with an open mind and heart.
I’m Amy Levine Klaus, “I Am” Yoga Nidra Practitioner, I added this meditation practice to my repertoire in 2021. I wanted to offer an alternative and or additional modality to help people manage stress and provide support for their busy lives. I discovered it is so much more than just relaxing. In “I Am” Yoga Nidra practice you utilize an intention to support you in whatever goals you are working on in life.
