An interactive, in-depth look at our lives as we age.
Being committed to looking forward does not mean we don’t consider what has happened to us along the way. For me it means not dwelling on the past, but creating the best life I can from this day forward.
We will consider the topics of looking forward through The PATH, embellishing physical health, understanding and maintaining cognitive growth (you will receive a book for use during the class), self-nurturing, creativity, vital involvement and more.
Class begins September 10 from 10:30 until noon (Mountain Time). 11 sessions; we will end class the week before Thanksgiving.
Welcome to the class on Aging Creatively.
In this class you will have this Guidebook to give you the background information and ask you questions in preparation for the class sessions. In the class sessions you will have an opportunity to share ideas and thoughts with fellow classmates furthering your thinking and growth.
There will be opportunities to go beyond the lessons presented here if you wish. Some weeks you might want to delve deeper into the topic, some weeks you might not be so inclined, but you can always go back later to complete the exercise as you study or re-read the material.
We intend to have fun. We can share as much or as little as we want. We can figure some things out, and still be puzzled by other things. All of that is okay for this journey is individual, community based, and free from criticism.
Ready to get started? (The answer would be YES!!!)
Each week you will read the assigned chapter and do the exercises prior to the class session. With a common background, we can then engage in discussion and learning. This is a “safe place” and comments and opinions will be honored. They might be questioned: “Tell me more” or “Please explain that more” – but they will not be criticized.
